Bones always does such a wonderful job with its Christmas episodes. “The Man in the Fallout Shelter” and “The Santa in the Slush” are some of my favorite episodes of the series.
This year’s holiday episode, “The Goop on the Girl,” promises to be even more special. It features the return of Ryan O’Neal as Brennan’s father and Emily Deschanel’s real-life sister Zooey Deschanel as her cousin Margaret. In the episode, Brennan’s father invites Margaret to spend Christmas with him and his daughter. Meanwhile, Brennan and Booth investigate the death of a Santa Claus-clad man who was blown up after a botched bank robbery.
