Posted: September 24, 2008 in starpulse articles, what to watch

What’s Airing, Re-Airing & Entertaining On TV This Week:

Monday, Sept 22

The Big Bang Theory (CBS, 8 p.m.) -Leonard’s dreams come true when he and Penny go on their first date.

Gossip Girl (The CW, 8 p.m.) – When Dan starts talking to a new girl, Blair calls out the bitch squad.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Fox, 8 p.m.) – Cromatie kidnaps Penny from Lost as bait to attract the Connors.

How I Met Your Mother (8:30 p.m.) – Nothing brings us more pleasure than Barney squirming with feelings for Robin.

Heroes (NBC, 9 p.m.) – Can the show jump back from last season’s sophomore slump? We sure hope so. By the way, although NBC has been touting tonight’s season premiere as a three-hour event, the first hour at 8 p.m. is basically a clip show hosted by the cast.

One Tree Hill (The CW, 9 p.m.) – Haley looks into Dan’s disappearance. She is going to be pissed when she finds Carrie.

Worst Week (CBS, 9:30 p.m.) – Sam doesn’t have the best luck. Too bad he still has to tell his girlfriend’s parents, who don’t like him very much, that they’re engaged and expecting a baby.

Tues, Sept 23

House (FOX, 8 p.m.) – Reaching a whole new level of unhealthy, House hires a private eye to keep tabs on Wilson.

90210 (The CW, 8 p.m.) – Ty and Annie grow closer. Will they do it? Nah, it’s not the Spring Dance yet.

Privileged (The CW, 9 p.m.) – Megan flirts with the girls’ new headmaster (former Real World-er and Grey’s Anatomy‘s gay solider David Giuntoli).

Fringe (Fox, 9 p.m.) – Things would just be too easy if there was a guy who could predict Pattern-related catastrophes before they happen, so we’re guessing the guy who can do just that in tonight’s episode is not all that or is going to meet a bad end.

The Mentalist (CBS, 9 p.m.) – Simon Baker is a former fake psychic who uses his keen observation skills to help solve crimes. Yes, it’s Psych, but serious.

Without A Trace (CBS, 10 p.m.) – Steven Weber guest stars as the team’s new boss.

Law & Order: SVU (NBC, 10 p.m.) – Luke Perry guest stars as a man who may be abusing his foster child. Kelly, is this a guy you want in your son’s life?

Wed, Sept 24

Bones (Fox, 8 p.m.) – Hodgins looks to Zack for help with a murder case. Nobody understands criminals better than a serial killer’s apprentice.

America’s Next Top Model (The CW, 8 p.m.) – First, the models go blind for their runway walks, then they have to pose with their eyes.

Knight Rider (NBC, 8 p.m.) – Come on, you totally want to see how bad it is.

Project Runway (Bravo, 9 p.m.) – LL Cool J judges a music-themed challenged. Thankfully, it’s not a test of the designers’ rapping skills.

Lipstick Jungle (NBC, 10 p.m.) – Wendy’s mother (Mary Tyler Moore) comes for a visit. Wendy’s picked a bad time to stay at home more.

Thurs, Sept 25

Ugly Betty (ABC, 8 p.m.) – Will Betty pick Henry, Gio or go the Kelly “I choose me” Taylor route?

Smallville (The CW, 8 p.m.) – Clark and Lois get partnered on an article, while a paramedic eyes Chloe.

Supernatural (The CW, 9 p.m.) – Sam and Dean are haunted by the ghosts of people they failed to save in the brilliantly titled “Are You There God? It’s Me, Dean Winchester.”

The Office (NBC, 9 p.m.) – It’s a good thing John Krasinski is so good at pining faces because Pam is away at art school.

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC, 9 p.m.) – Everyone gets a reality check when the hospital slips to number 12 in the rankings. Maybe if they’re weren’t so busy getting it on in the break room…

Fri, Sept 26

2008 Tour of Gymnastics Superstars (MyNetworkTV, 8 p.m.) – For those missing the Olympics and phenoms Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson.

What Not to Wear (TLC, 9 p.m) – It’s out with the skimpy wear when Stacy and Clinton take on a former exotic dancer.

Sat, Sept 27

Day of rest. Take a breather. Go outside.

Sun, Sept 28

Desperate Housewives (ABC, 9 p.m.) – Cribbing from One Tree Hill and Lost, the show fast forwards five years to find Gabby a mother, Gale Harold sexing Susan and Lynette still dealing with those troublemaker twins.

Dexter (Showtime, 9 p.m.) – Dexter gets lucky in one way and not so lucky when a stranger winds up at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Brothers & Sisters (ABC, 10 p.m.) – Break out the wine because those crazy, borderline alcoholic Walkers are back.

Entourage (HBO, 10 p.m.) – Drama appears on The View, and his meltdown will put the co-hosts’ antics to shame.
